"The womb is not a place to store fear and pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life."

13th Rite of the Womb

A Sacred Transmission of Healing and Rebirth

The 13th Rite of the Munay-Ki, known as The Rite of the Womb, is a sacred lineage initiation—a transmission of healing that was first received by Marcela Lobos and has since been shared with thousands of people around the world. Although traditionally the Munay-Ki consists of nine rites, the Rite of the Womb has become a powerful addition, offered as the 13th Rite to honor the 13 moons of the year, a symbol intimately linked to the cycles of life, menstruation, creation, and renewal.

We live in a world where many carry personal and ancestral stories of pain, trauma, and disconnection related to the womb, sexuality, birth, menstruation, and identity. These imprints are often stored not only in the womb space but also in the emotional, energetic, and physical bodies. Whether it is personal experience, ancestral memory, or societal conditioning, these wounds can limit our capacity to fully inhabit our creative and life-giving power.

The Rite of the Womb is an invitation to release these stories and reconnect with the womb as a sacred space of life, creativity, and sovereign power. This rite is not exclusive to women or those with physical wombs. It is a ceremonial healing that can be received by all genders and bodies, because each of us carries the energetic blueprint of creation within us. We all come from a womb, and many of us carry the emotional and spiritual imprints of generational womb stories—whether through our direct experiences or through the lineages we belong to.

Receiving this rite is a portal into rediscovery—a homecoming to your emotional and creative center. It is a chance to reclaim your relationship with your body, your feminine essence (whether literal, energetic, or symbolic), and to step into a deeper, more sovereign connection with life itself.

The Ceremony: A Living, Breathing Experience

Every Rite of the Womb ceremony is uniquely guided and intuitively held. There is no single way this ceremony unfolds. It is an ever-changing, evolving space, shaped by the needs of the group or the individual present on the day. We listen to the energy in the room, to Spirit, and to the wisdom of the moment. No two ceremonies are ever the same.

We begin by opening sacred space, calling in the Four Pillars, the elemental and archetypal forces that support us. We invite the presence of Mother Goddesses, Ancestors, Rose Priestesses, and Fierce Feminine archetypes to surround and hold the container. These beings offer their wisdom, guidance, and strength, helping us to access ancient memory, confront hidden wounds, and awaken to the truth of who we are beyond trauma or limitation.

As we step into ceremony, we enter a space outside of ordinary time, where healing can unfold in profound yet gentle ways. The ceremonial space is held with deep respect for wherever you are on your journey. You are not expected to share or perform. You are invited to come exactly as you are, and you will be honored fully in your authenticity. The ceremony becomes a container where you can express as much or as little as you need, knowing that you are held in safety and compassion throughout.

Body, Breath, and Emotion: Releasing and Reclaiming

Within the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to connect with the wisdom of your own body. Our bodies carry the stories of our lives—stories of identity, sexuality, relationships, parenthood, childhood, loss, joy, and transformation. These lived experiences are not just remembered in the mind, but are stored in the nervous system, the tissues, and the energetic blueprint of the body, particularly in the womb or pelvic space.

Movement, breath, and sound are powerful ways to begin releasing these stored emotions and experiences. You may find yourself gently swaying, breathing deeply, sighing, humming, singing, or even allowing primal sounds or spontaneous movement to arise. These practices help clear stuck energy, open channels of creative flow, and allow you to validate and honour your lived experiences without judgment.

You are always in choice—there is no right or wrong way to participate. Whether you feel called to move, be still, express through sound, or remain in quiet meditation, all ways are welcome.

Reflection and Integration

Throughout the ceremony, you will have time to pause, reflect, and integrate. Journaling is encouraged as a way to capture any insights, visions, emotions, or revelations that arise. Sitting quietly with a warm drink and soft music can help ground the experience, giving your nervous system space to process and your mind time to absorb what has been received.

Oracle cards are available for anyone who wishes to use them. They can offer gentle guidance, prompts for self-inquiry, or validation of what is unfolding during the ceremony. You are welcome to bring your own cards or use the ones provided.

If you feel comfortable, there will also be opportunities to share your reflections or experiences with the group, though this is entirely optional. The space is held with the utmost respect for your personal boundaries and comfort.

Receiving the Transmission

The Rite of the Womb transmission itself is a simple, four-step process, yet its effects can be profound and long-lasting.

I begin by connecting with the lineage and activating the transmission within myself. From there, I share the Rite with you, guiding you through the simple but potent words of the transmission. As you speak or receive the words, you begin to affirm the Rite for yourself, allowing it to settle into your body and energetic field.

Following this, there is time for quiet integration. You may choose to place your hands on your heart, on your womb, or both, feeling the connection to your body and the transmission you’ve just received. Some people prefer to sit in silence; others may lay down, rest, or simply be present with the sensations moving through them.

Although the process is simple, many describe this moment as deeply moving, emotional, and even life-changing. The Rite offers a gentle but powerful reset—clearing old templates of pain and making space for new stories, new life, and new creations.

A Ceremony That Evolves With You

Each ceremony is unique. Depending on the guidance received in the moment and the needs of the participants, we may weave in additional elements such as guided meditation, breath-work journeys, ancestral connection practices, sound healing, or sharing circles. The ceremony will always meet you exactly where you are.

No prior experience is necessary to join. Whether this is your first ceremony or you are returning to receive the Rite again, you are warmly welcomed.
